Nineteen will die a horrible death, convicted by the judge and slain before the eyes of their peers. One man is crushed to death by stones, as he refuses to enter a plea of guilty. 

Did spirits have an effect on the townspeople of Salem? Or was the court afraid their community would lose its puritan values?
